What is a Functional Behaviour Assessment

A Functional Behaviour Assessment is a systematic process used to identify the purpose / function behind an individual’s challenging behaviours.
It involves collecting data, interviewing key stakeholders, observing behaviours in different environments, and analysing the results to determine why certain behaviours are occurring. The goal is to pinpoint specific factors that influence the behaviour and develop an effective intervention strategy based on these insights.

Our FBA Process

Behavioural Analysis:

Hypothesis Development:
Based on our analysis, we develop a formulation about the factors driving the behaviour. The formulation is a tool that helps organise complex information about a person, while guiding the selection of strategies and intervention.

We recommend customised strategies, that help, ensure safety and reduce risk, while building the individual’s skills and providing guidance to their support network. 
Ongoing Support:
We provide ongoing support to monitor progress, adjust interventions as needed, and ensure efficacy.
